This is not your ordinary parent blog for kid-friendly stuff. This is written by someone who is a beer enthusiast and is intimately familiar with restaurants, day trips and more.
If you are wondering why your single friends/childless friends give you a weird look or go radio silent on group texts when you invite them out, this guide is for you.
(You might want to read this guide on how to make friends while you are at it) Be sure to check out my free weekly email newsletter for events, things to do, pop-ups and more each week:

Most blog pieces for meeting others are geared toward singles seeking a romantic connection. The truth is, it’s tough meeting people, especially when you are limited by having a dog.
Many places are also geared toward guys meeting other guys or women meeting other women, but for couples looking to meet other couples, this can be quite challenging as well.
A lot of you spawned kids or adopted a dog during covid. Some may have kept extra vigilant and refrained from socializing in public spaces during that time.
The days are longer, the weather is warmer, and you may have gotten tired of being locked up with your partner for 4 years straight - you have the itch to go out and meet people. Whatever the reason, I am here for you.
Places To Meet Other Couples, Parents & Dog Owners San Francisco Bay Area
Having grown up in Marin, lived most of my adult life in San Francisco, and managed to explore the Bay Area beyond SF city limits, I know a thing or two about meeting others all over the Bay Area.
Beyond helping singles in their dating lives, I also help folks make friends (as individuals or as couples). This entails evaluating everything from first impressions to appearance, wardrobe, posture, social skills, hobbies, lifestyle choices, life experience, career, communication skills, and more.
Unfortunately, there are no man parks in the Bay Area (yet, crossing fingers), but there are some good alternatives.

Although these are some of my recommendations for places to meet other parents, dog-owners and couples, it’s often less about location and more about self-work.
For couples, this means having both individuals be approachable, interesting and engaging. If only one person in the relationship is fun, social etc, it’s hard for that person to carry both individuals in social settings.
If you are an attractive single mother, it can be especially hard to meet other parents. I have seen it happen all too often. The same can be said for a socially awkward tech worker or software engineer. Expanding hobbies, practicing social skills, having more life experience (travel, culture, & things to draw from and talk about) are key.
Meeting others will take more than going to spots like these in these cases. If you have trouble meeting other couples, parents, you should get in touch.
Below are my recommendations for meeting others if you have a dog in tow. It’s mostly for San Francisco but I have a few spots for surrounding areas. Depending on interests, I will expand details, add more recommendations.
I moved the kid-friendly spots to a new post, you can access that here.
